Today I donned my fuel belt and was much more mobile with the 4 suction flasks that my drains attach to. Yesterday carrying them around was pretty cumbersome they were getting tangled, getting yanked, uncapped when they were pinned to the gown.
The surgeons and nurses felt this was a great idea compared to pinning the flasks to belts, gown.
I have emailed fuel belt to see whether they would be interested in coming up with a fuel belt for breast cancer, if they do not pursue it I will try to find a way to come up with something similar, maybe with a different company ? A slight modification to the current model ( making sure that the opening is at the front and all flasks holders will need to be in the front or on the sides) and maybe having some pink ribbon signs on it will serve the purpose beautifully.
Tomorrow I am going home yey ! missed my dog, I hope she does not jump on me though.
